Left the city at 4 a.m. Had about an hour drive to the field that we would be hunting for the morning. Pull up to the field and to our surprise there was more snow than we originally thought. The field had a good 4 to 5 inches of snow. The wind was blowing hard and the snow was almost piercing to the eyes. Set up our 5 dozen ffd lessers and the rest is history. Birds responded to lots of aggressive calling and some minimal flagging to keep their attention. Ended up with 10 big Canada geese, 3 smaller sub species (expect it to be Hutchison), 3 mallards, a ross and a blue.
